Witches Night!

Celeste and I had a super fun Witches Night Out! We all chose our new name, which was our "true name." I was Crystal Snow, Amelia was Topaz River... We also played a couple of fun games and got to know each other a little better. For example: we found out that someone in our family loves the taste of Play-Doh. Only the store bought kind. She doesn't appreciate the homemade kind. We had so much fun! We are definitely making this a tradition!

 A few days ago, I got to take some family photos for a good friend of mine. Zoe came along as my assistant. :) We got there a little early, so I did a mini-shoot with her. We found the perfect spot for doing silhouette pictures. I had so much fun editing her cute pictures!

Miles

This is a funny kid! He is always saying and doing things that crack us up!
Here's a couple of recent examples:

Me: Miles are you coming with me to Livee's game?
Miles: What are my other options?

At his doctor appointment, the nurse was doing a hearing test. Miles was supposed to raise his hand when he heard the beeps. At the end of the test:

Miles: Mom, were there only two beeps?
Me: I don't know. I didn't hear any beeps.
Miles: Dang, Mom. You have really bad hearsight!

How long do you cook your Cracker Jacks?

I picked up some different after-school snacks for the kids a couple of days ago. Today Livee picked Cracker Jacks. I didn't realize she had never had them before until she asked me how long to cook them. :) Silly girl!

That is as much as I can write, right now. But I do have so much I can say... soon. He was a great dad and grandpa, and we miss him so much!

Valentines Dinner

We always have a "fancy" family dinner on Valentines Day. This year I made homemade lasagna. It was my first time, and it turned out pretty good! I didn't even get any of the left-overs the next day. They were gone! There are two things we have to have every year: candles and Crush soda. :) We go around the table and take turns telling each other why we have a crush on them. It's pretty fun, and funny! I'm so thankful for all of my crushes. Especially that big, handsome guy making a goofy face! (like father like son!) It was a great day!

BYU Football Fireside

Last week we got to go the BYU football team fireside. We went as a youth activity with church. It was such a great night, and I loved listening to and learning from the stories of some of the players and their coach. Hearing all those big tough guys singing was also so cool! The Spirit was so strong, you could really feel their testimonies. I loved it! (So did all of the young women!)
It was especially fun getting to see Danny Sorenson, the safety, and meeting Justin Sorenson, the kicker. Our families are in the same ward in California, and it was funny seeing them in Texas. :)

house cleaning tip

Today I thought I would try a new Scentsy scent. It's called Clean Breeze. It's a really fresh, clean laundry type smell. I put it in this morning while Miles was at school. When he came home, he walked in the door and said "Mom, you cleaned the house today? It smells good!"

first day of schools...

Here are my girls on the first day of school. They are all a little excited and a little bit nervous.
After they got home, they all reported a great first day. Yay!

Livee is in 4th grade, she really likes her class and her teacher. She is also happy that she gets to be in choir this year. Zoe is in 7th grade, and this is her first year in a school without a sister. She is doing great, and she is very glad to have some classes with her good friends. Paige is in 9th grade. She loves high school and she is loving seminary too. She is on the JV soccer team.
Miles started preschool this year. He gets to go on Tuesdays and Thursdays. He loves it! He also thinks it's super cool to have Grayson in his class, and Rowdy right next door.


My four kids are in four schools. It's a little crazy, but they all have really good teachers and classes. They are coming home from school happy, and that makes me happy!
