boys day at the salon

Both boys were in serious need of some haircuts, so I took them together today. They were so good. We were at Cool Cuts, so they just sat in the cars and watched the movie Cars, and they were in a different world. You could have done anything at that point and I'm sure it would have been okay with them. As long as the stylist didn't stand in front of the TV. :)

Paigee's First Dance

She's getting so big. But, when I took her to the dance she looked so little and innocent. :) She had a lot of fun. I surprised her earlier that day by taking her out of school to go shopping for a new dress and shoes, and then lunch. It was a nice little time for us!
This is what her hair looked like:

I love having a big girl!

I have always loved having three girls. The cute clothes, the giggling, the sisters, the fun hairstyles. But, Oh! The hairstyles! Fixing 3 heads of hair before we go anywhere. And then hopefully at least brushing mine before we run out the door, late, to wherever we are going! Paige is old enough to do her own hair now. So I'm down to 2 little girls hair sessions in the morning..... But look at Zoe's cute 'do from the other day. Fixed by Paige! So now if we are running behind, I have a back-up stylist. Love ya Paige!!!
I really do love fixing my girls hair. Even Paige's still, when she lets me. (It's sad though, when I am fixing her hair now I have to reach up, or make her sit down so that I can reach it.)

You'll never guess what I did!

Ok, sorry about the really poor picture quality! We are still trying to figure out how to work Paige's new camera. (Does anyone know why about half of our pictures come out so bad and the rest are perfect?)..... Anyways, Livee's hair had gotten so long and she was really wanting a haircut. I thought her long hair was so pretty, but she can be a little bit of a complainer when I am fixing it =) so, I finally gave in. And I did it myself! It was a little (lot) bit scary, but Amelia coached me through it. I made sure to leave it long enough to be able to take her to a salon and have it fixed in case of emergency.
We made sure to cut enough to be able to donate it to Locks of Love. It needs to be at least 10 inches, and we ended up cutting 12.

She loves it and it really does look cute! I will post a better picture soon.

Are you more of a "Livee" or a "Zoe".....

.....type of belly dancer?

2 days in a row!!!

School was canceled because of our ice storms out here. It's pretty funny because yesterday when I told Craig about it he said on his way to work it was -26 and kids were still going to school. I'm not complaining! I like having the girls home. :)
Zoe looks really sad about it too, huh?! (yep, she still has her pj's on)

geocaching

I have been wanting to do this for a long time and today we finally did it. It was so fun! The girls loved it, it's like treasure hunting. First we signed up here. Then we found some coordinates by our house, and we were off. So fun and totally free! (Well, besides the gas, and you do need a GPS, of course!)

This is one of the "treasures" we found. You can keep what is inside as long as you have something to replace it with. Or you can just sign the paper and replace everything just how it was. Today we didn't keep anything we found because it was our first time and we wanted to get an idea of what other people hide. Next time we will do some trading. The girls have lots of fun ideas! :)

Livee's X-ray

Last week Livee had to get her lungs x-rayed. She had community-acquired pneumonia. She is doing much better now. She is done with her medications (other than her new allergy meds) and is back in school.
The picture is from a field trip we went on right before Christmas at the college.
