Miles 2 year check-up + good news

STATS:
weight 28 lbs. (50%)
height 36" (90%)
His Dr. checked him and talked to him for a while and everything is good. He was impressed with his speech and his tighty-whiteys. This was also the first check-up we've been to where Miles did not throw a fit when the nurses or his Dr. touched him. He was so calm the whole time. He did yell when he got his shot, but there were no tears. He's a big kid now!
*****
Good news: Craig was diagnosed with Hepatitis C a few months ago. He has been on medication and weekly shots since then. After 12 weeks they do a blood test to check if the viral levels have gone down. He got his results yesterday: the viral levels are ZERO. It's gone!!!!! He still has to continue the meds for a total of 48 weeks but..... he's cured!!! :)
Thank you family, for all the prayers!

Blogger Slacker!

Yep, that's me! First of all, you know I am having camera issues (still isn't here yet, but Craig did get them to drop the price twice, and free shipping) and I don't like posting without pictures so thank you to Amelia for giving me her old camera to use again. I'll stop calling you an indian-giver now. :) Second of all, our computer died. I guess it was about time though, since we have had it for almost 11 years. We got our money's worth out of that thing! Now we have a new computer so I don't really have an excuse for not blogging except for..... Third of all, I just haven't been in a very blogging kind of mood lately. :( I don't know why, I have so many new things to blog about: Paige's bedroom is mostly finished now, Livee and Zoe's room has some cute new changes, lots of new projects that I've done, Halloween and fall decorations, new garage sale finds etc.... Hopefully I get back in the blogger mood soon, because I really want to show you all of these things. Keep your bloggin' fingers crossed that you will hear from me again soon. :)

BNSF Family Day

My kids love going to Family Day every year. There are so many fun things for kids to do. There are these amazingly detailed miniature train displays. Craig talked to a guy that helped set up the displays and it takes 2 weeks to get it all done! These guys love their trains! We got their right when it opened this year, so the girls wouldn't have to wait in monster lines for all the cool activities. This bungee-trampoline thingy was their favorite. They also had rock climbing walls, train rides, a petting zoo, all you can eat food, sodas, and ice cream. (Wait, I think the bungee thingy might have been their second favorite, after the ice cream!)

Livee and Zoe even got to be crane operators for a day. Don't they look too cute?!

Miles and his Lady.....

.....Ladybug, that is.

I love this picture. He is totally studying the little bug. He was very interested in it!

produce co-op

(Sorry about the bad picture. I took it with my phone since I still don't have my camera!)
Some girls in my ward have this produce co-op that they have been doing for a while. Thy had an opening and they invited me to join :) This is my first time, but so far it's pretty cool. I'll try and explain it a little bit. OK, there are 12 mom's in the group. Twice a month you pay $20.00 and 2 of the mom's go down to the Dallas Farmers Market and pick up a ton of fruits and veggies. Then they go home, divide it all up, and you go to their house and pick it up. We are on a rotating schedule, so every 3 months me and my partner will have to take a turn going to the market. Look how much fresh food I got for $20.00!!! Lettuce, tomatoes, onions, zucchini, corn, oranges, apples, bananas, grapefruit, kiwi, cantaloupe, bell peppers, peaches, carrots. Each time you get different stuff, depending on what's there and what's fresh. Pretty cool, huh?!

A good day with good friends.

Yesterday Tiffany and Kodi came to our house for a visit. When she got here, I had just brought my fall/Halloween decorations box out of the attic. (It's a small box. I will be doing some after-season clearance shopping this year!) She helped me do a little decorating. She is a very good spider-webber. :) Then Cousin Kellie came over and we did some fun crafting that I had left over from Super Saturday last weekend. I even did a painting. Then we had dinner and just hung out for a little while. I am so lucky to have sister's-in-law, and cousins that I consider some of my best friends. I know that's not the case in some families. Yay for my brothers finding good wives! :)

Happy Birthday Paige and Miles!

Happy Birthday Miles! He lost his pants early in the day.
Miles turned 2
Paige turned 11
By the end of the night Miles was naked and muddy.
Thank you Cody!

Cupcakes

Last Sunday I made cupcakes and the girls decorated them.
Sierra told her preschool teacher she wanted to be a chef when she grows up.
The girls had so much fun!
It got a little messy.
They turned out very colorful!
You can see Zoe's double cupcake, Paige enjoyed the blue frosting.

My camera's on backorder :(

I've totally been neglecting my blog. I just like to be able to put pictures with my posts and since I don't have a camera, I've been a slacker. Only 3-4 weeks til I get my new one.
Here's a quick little update:
We had a birthday dinner for Paige and Miles last night. So fun! Thank you Kellie for taking pictures! (she's going to post them for me later) Paige is 11 now!!!!! Wow, time flies! She is such a sweet and fun girl (well.... 97% sweet and fun 3% attitude) She is such a smartie, she comes home from school and gets right into her homework. She's got all pre-AP classes and she's doing well in them. Zoe got an Ipod for her birthday so of course the big sister had to have one for her birthday too. It is so funny to walk by the girls' bedrooms when they are cleaning up and hear them singing at the top of their lungs. They never realize how loud they are! hee hee. Oh, and Paige has nice smooth legs now. I can't believe my little girl is using a razor. So sad!
My baby boy is 2 now! Miles had fun with all his new toys yesterday. Although he didn't really want to share with anyone else. Sorry Gray! He has gotten so big lately. His vocabulary is growing so fast. He is making sentences now, even singing a couple of songs. I cant list all of his words, but here are some favorites:
*Paigee - Daigee
*Zoe - Oe
*Livee - Diddee
*Miles - Mine
Grayson - Daton
*Grandma Charlotte, Grandma Carol, and Aunt Monica - Monna
Colleen (my friend across the street) - sister
He won't say the name of animals. He calls them what they say (moo instead of cow, etc.)
He is just so fun! I never really thought I wanted a boy, but boys are fun too! I love my September babies and I know that I am so blessed to have them. I'm a lucky mom!
