Some serious rain is coming down in Justin!

Holy Moly! It's thundering and lightning, the wind is blowing and the rain is coming down! I just checked the news and we are safe. Nothing scary heading our way with this storm. I love the sound of the rain and the thunder as long as I know that there is no tornado coming! :)

A special night for Livee

Livee feels left out sometimes when her big sisters go places with their friends. So tonight while Paige and Zoe went to the skating rink Livee had a fun night at home with her friend. We called up Hannah, her friend from her soccer team, and it worked out perfect because she has 2 big sisters that had plans for the night, too. The girls had so much fun! We made spaghetti for dinner and then homemade chocolate chip cookies. We played Monopoly Jr. and then we watched a movie. Livee was so excited to have one of her friends over. Look at that big ol' smile!

Miles room

His room is far from being done! We found this cute vinyl saying on clearance at Kohl's and we had to get it. It describes Miles perfectly. I have some pictures of him where he is covered in dirt and mud and just being a total boy, and I am going to have them enlarged and hang them up next to the words. I can't wait to have a cute boy room finished. It will be a while still, because after Paige's room we are moving on to Zoe and Livee's room. (which will be so much fun too!) Oh, and Craig also put up the ceiling fan in Miles room while I was gone. :)

Paige's totally tween room

OK, the colors are not quite right in these pictures, but you get the idea. This is such a fun room. We had started it before I went to Ca, and we only had one big flower done. When we got back, Craig had painted all the rest of the flowers. Freehand! He did a great job. There is one big flower on each wall. Who knew he was so good at little girls rooms! I LOVE this man! The room is not completely finished but this is where we are now.

Livee found this cute clock at Hobby Lobby and said it would match Paigee's room real good.

Here's a close-up of Craig's little outlet flower. (see letti, i told you that i have the best husband in the world :)

Thanks for the camera Amelia!!!

My tiny boy! :)

When I look at Miles I am amazed at how big he is now. He's doing so many things now and talking so much that he is not really a baby anymore. He is quickly moving into the "big boy" category. But, when Craig was holding him this morning, he just looked so tiny in his arms. I just had to take a picture. Look at his little leg and chubby little fingers in Craig's hand. So, so small! Oh, please don't grow up too fast Miles!

The tubes are in.

Miles had his ear surgery this morning. I am always so nervous before any kind of procedure that the kids or Craig have done. This really was the quickest surgery ever though. As soon as we got to the waiting room I said another little prayer and started reading my book, and before I could even really get into my book the Doctor was there saying it was over and everything had gone perfectly. When we got to the recovery room, Miles was awake already, and a little grumpy. His nurses gave him some apple juice, and unfortunately we learned that he is very sensitive to anesthesia. He threw up all over me, all over Craig, and then all over himself and his car seat on the ride home. Poor guy! After we got home we all took a little nap together and when Miles woke up he was fine. You would never know that he had surgery this morning. I am glad it is done now, and I hope his ear infections are a thing of the past!
***
Miles was not too thrilled with waking up at 5:00.
Watching Zoboomafoo. (Don't you love Miles' little hair flip?!)
After surgery. Poor baby! You can tell he doesn't feel good. Look how pale his lips are. They are normally so red.
Like father like son.

We learned our lesson!

While we were painting Paige's closet, Miles must have gotten hungry. We heard a big crash followed by crying. We ran to the kitchen and found him on the floor of the pantry with a bag of chocolate chips laying next to him. He had brought his stool into the pantry, used it to climb on the bottom shelf, and on up from there. Sometime after he reached the chocolate chips, he slipped. He wasn't crying very hard after Craig picked him up and we thought that it must have just scared him. I took him and was rubbing his head to check for bumps. I felt a big goose egg and I told Craig to come feel it. When I brought my hand down..... blood! Craig checked it out and it was just a bad scratch, no stitches needed. From now on, we will have to make sure that kid doesn't get hungry! We also went out and bought some safety doorknob covers. :)

My camera died. :(

I really need some input on a good, easy, reasonably priced new one.

She's a natural blonde!

Here's a few of the latest Zoe Funnies:

Z: Mom, there are stomach fires going around in my classroom.
Me: Stomach fires?
Z: Yeah
Me: What are stomach fires?
Z: My teacher said it's when your stomach hurts really bad and you throw up a lot.
Me: (laughing) Oh, do you mean a stomach virus?
Z: (laughing) Oh..... yeah. :)

We were at Rosa's the other night for dinner and the girls wanted some sopapillas. I told them only the people that did some work around the house that day could have some. ;) Zoe jumped up and said I did, I did. I took Whitey on a hawk.
Yesterday we were painting stripes onto Paige's green closet. The stripes we painted are orange and pink (a total tween room!) We used painters tape to mark off the stripes, and it also was to leave a green stripe in between the pink and orange. Zoe could not figure out how we had painted the green stripes when the only colors of paint we had were pink and orange. :)
