Fun Discovery!

I was looking at some old pictures and I found this picture of Zoe from her kindergarten rainbow day. She is so cute and colorful! She is in 3rd grade now and I was a little sad at how fast she is growing up and changing....
then I looked at this picture and I smiled because she is growing up and changing but, she is still my same little Zoe! A little bit bigger but still so cute and colorful!

don't try this at home

Paige decided she would give her sister a ride on her handlebars the other day. Everything was going good until Paige thought she would try and ride with no hands at the same time. Look at poor Zoe's face and you know the outcome was not good. There was a crash!
Just look at that gigantic scrape on her hip!
Poor thing ripped up her favorite jeans and if you look closely you can see how badly she hurt her knees.
This little pinkie trauma was discovered an hour or so later... I'm not sure if it is going to make it.
Oh wait, before you start sending the get well cards and flowers, she had a miraculous healing and is back up out of bed and on her feet. With a smile too! I love this girl!
I was out there when it happened and I saw her fall so I knew she was OK. But, it could have been bad so, kids.... do not try this at home!

I'm Back!

Okay, all the previous posts are from the Bowler blog. I have been transferring them over here so that at the end of the year I can print the whole blog into a journal for our family like Cousin Jill did.
I started this blog in October, and I did it for about a week and then it sort of trailed off. I'm going to try to be better this time! I love my family and all the funny little everyday stuff that goes on with us. My girls always ask me to tell them about when they were little. So, with this maybe the stories won't get forgotten so easily and we might even have a few pictures to go along with the stories.
This is for my kids... and to keep family and friends that we don't get to see as often as we would like to, updated on our life way out here in Justin!

His Eyes

Iya finally got a good picture of his eyes. I love the little slobber drips on his chin too! :]

Twinsies

It has been so fun with the Bowlers here. Kodi and Miles play so good together (most of the time) and she is teaching him so many things. Since she's been here, Miles has started talking a lot more. He watches everthing she does. It's kind of like he's thinking "If she can do that, or say that, then I can too!" It is so cute to watch them.

In these pictures Kodi looks a lot bigger than Miles, but really they are about the same. They wear the same size clothes and shoes. If they are just standing together you might think they were the same age, but once they start talking, or running and jumping you can definitely tell who's older! They remind me of Chase and Paige. Mom, do you remember when they were running through the mall?

Good Girl!!!

Tuesday, February 19, 2008

Yesterday during school Colton (the boy that made the bracelet) asked Paige if she would go out with him. She told him "No, I'm too young and I'm not allowed." Good for you, Paige!!!
I found this out from Coltons mom. She called me today and said that he had told her all about what happened, and he was a little embarrassed to go to school today. But his mom told him that he was too young, too. So, he asked her if our two families could get together and go bowling or something sometime. Paige and Colton had never even talked to each other until yesterday. Don't you just love the simple, innocent lives of fifth graders?! He told his mom he liked Paige because she was smart and pretty cute. :]
Then his mom asked if we were Mormon. I told her we were. She isn't but her good friend is and she told me they were Christians, but she knew that we had the same values. She was so happy and impressed that Paige had said no to Colton, and she was glad to meet another family that was raising their kids the same way as she was.
I'm happy too! Today was a good mom day.

Random pics from today

February 15, 2008
Yuck! Paige got her first special Valentine from a boy yesterday. He drew her a picture with lots of different hearts all over it, and he made her this bracelet. It really was kind of cute, but oooooh!!! I can't believe she's growing up so fast. The boys name is Colton. Funny, huh?! (That's the name of the city right by where we moved from.)
Zoe is supposed to be cleaning her room, so I don't know why she is in Paige's room crouching on the floor, looking like she's up to something.... anyways.... Her hair is getting so long again and the weird annoying waves in the back are getting weirder and wavier and annoyinger. Why can't her hair be all wavy or all straight?! :] I really do think she has great hair, there is just so much of it for a little girl!
Okay, this is not a picture from today. If she was wearing that outfit today she would have frozen her buns off! It's freezing! (actually it's 38 outside right now) brrrr. Craig started a fire for us so it's really warm and cozy inside though. Livee doesn't have a picture from today because out of the 10+ I tried to take of her all of them had captured her mid-blink. So, I found this cute picture of her from warmer times at Miles birthday party.
Yes, he still loves his bananas! He has a cold right now too. This is kind of a weird picture but it was the best I could do today. This kid has camera ADHD. Amelia can confirm that.

Deja Vu

February 15, 2008

I totally remember walking on dads back all the time when we were little. Oooh, I also remember peeling it when he got sunburned. Thank goodness sunscreen is cool now! I don't think my kids will ever have to do that to their dad!

Where's Miles?

February 15, 2008

Miles had fallen asleep in the car, so I brought him in and laid him down in Livee's bed. He definitely would have woken up if I had to drop him into the crib! Don't worry, I didn't put him on the edge of the bed like that, he had scooted around in his sleep a little. :]
He really was getting some fresh air under that hood.
Miles is a shoe lover just like Uncle Cody! He will pick out his shoes every morning and bring them to us to put on right then. We never have to fight him to put his shoes on. If he doesn't have any on he will put on whatever he can find...Daddy's, his sister's, Kodi's... any shoes he sees. The other day he went into my closet and came out wearing my heels. Craig wouldn't let me take a picture, so there's new proof that he ever did that, but I saw it and it was pretty cute. :]

We went to China.

Thursday, January 24, 2008

For FHE we went to China! It was so fun. For dinner we made lettuce wraps, and talked about other Chinese foods that we like. After dinner we looked up fun facts on the Internet. The girls were really happy that they only had to learn 26 ABC's and not over 40,000 symbols in school! For dessert we had fried wontons with cinnamon powdered sugar, yum! I found a website that translated English names into Chinese and wrote all of our names down. I told the girls that they needed to be able to write their names like that by next family night. :) We are going to try to make this a monthly thing and the girls will get to pick the countries. Paige wants to do Paris, Zoe wants to do Italy, and Livee wants to do San Diego. :) (I think some lessons in geography definitely won't hurt!) Next time I need to take more pictures.

It's Tough Being Five!

January 22, 2008

Livee got in trouble yesterday and Craig made her stand with her nose in the corner for a while. She did it too! She stood there like that until Craig came back to talk to her, probably about 10 minutes. She probably would have fallen asleep like that if he had waited any longer.
I just couldn't resist taking a picture, I thought she looked cute! :]

He's a big boy now.

Okay, so for the past week or so, I have been putting Miles on the potty whenever he takes a bath or before he goes to bed. Normally he will sit there for about 20 seconds and then be done with it. Well tonight I took him and he did it! I think he surprised himself because whenever he sits there he just looks down at his little guy(why are boys so fascinated with that thing?!) and so when he started going he just stopped and then looked up at me with a big cheesy grin and then he finished!
I know it is going to be a long time before he is potty trained, but it's a good first step!
Yeah Miles!!!

Baby Blogger

December 28, 2007

Miles loves to climb up and get on the computer. Everyday I have to get him down at least a couple of times. You can see from the top picture that he loves the family blog too!

Christmas Morning

The girls were so excited! They woke up at 5:56 and Craig made them go back to sleep until 7:11. In this picture they are waiting for me to go wake up Miles.
Poor baby Miles.... sleeping so peacefully. Darn impatient sisters! :]
Paige checking out what Santa brought.
Zoe looking at her babies in their new daybed.
Livee's checking out everything!
Miles is only interested in his bananas from his stocking. Here he is begging me.
Begging Daddy.

Early Christmas Presents

December 14, 2007

Unfortunately the sweatshirts that these California kids could wear all through Winter last year aren't working here in Texas! Today I don't think it ever got out of the 30's!!! It was a freezy, rainy, sleety, haily kind of day, so the jackets they got last night are just in time! We let the girls pick theirs out, and they all picked the same one. Since all the girls had brown we couldn't leave the boy out, so of course he got brown too.
Do you think they will be warm enough now? Or do we need to splurge on some pants too?!

Halloween

Halloween was so fun this year! It was our first Halloween at our new house and everyone came trick-or-treating at our neighborhood. The Byrds were here visiting from California, the Texas Bowlers, Jayson, Kellie, and Sierra, and Grandma Charlotte too. We only went up and down a couple of streets, and the kids' bags were full.... overflowing, so we went back to our house, and then went to Tads neighborhood and went on a hayride. Definitely a good night for the kids!
Aren't my kids the cutest Greaser, 50's girl, Pocahontas, and Witch Princess ever?!
I made Paige's costume. Actually, I made Livee and Zoe one too, in red and pink. They had a 50's sock hop at their school so I made them all skirts. Too bad I forgot to get a picture of the whole 50's family!

bye bye tonsils!

October 17, 2007

Sydney:
Livee is going to be saying goodbye to her tonsils soon too.
She is a wacky snorer just like you, and I think hers are the same size as yours. Pretty gross!
You guys need to have a double farewell!

New Teeth

October 17, 2007

Miles got some new teeth just in time for Halloween!
He'll grow in to them won't he?!
Gosh, he is one pretty baby!!!

Miles Birthday Present

Monday, October 15, 2007

This is what Miles got for his birthday. Our front Living room is now the toy room. :0) It didn't have any furniture in it yet, so it works out perfectly! He loves playing on it as you can tell.
Miles says thank you to Grandpa Doc, Nan & Pops, Iya, Uncle Tad, Car' & Gray!
It's the perfect thing for this busy, busy boy!

Paige's Choir Performance

Paige is in Choir at school and today she tried out for a solo for the Christmas Show and she got it!
She will be performing at Six Flags Over Texas on December 15th. We can get tickets for $10.00, and that is a really good price, so I think you all should be there!
Yeah for Paigee!
SUPER STAR!!!

Livee's Pledge

Livee's Pledge:
I Pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America. And to the Republic for which it stands. One Nation, under God, indivisible with Liberty and "Justin" for all.
Silly Girl!
Also at their school, every morning they recite the Texas Pledge, and the Justin Jaguar pledge.
Funny proud Texas!

Miles Birthday

Miles Birthday party was so fun! He had lots of little friends there and lots of family too! He loved eating his cupcake and blowing out the candle. The giant soccer game was really fun for all the kids. I can't believe my little boy is 1 already!!!
